Jeff Gutierrez began his career as an usher with Bill Graham Presents (BGP) in October of 1982. He soon made the switch to a Security position and continued to advance in his involvement of all aspects of the events. While with Bill Graham Presents he worked for the Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, David Bowie to just name a few. Participating in many large-scale Fund-raising events, Festivals, and County fairs gave Jeff the problem solving and logistic skills necessary to start his own company. Jeff decided to start his own company after a successful New Years Eve event in 1996 where he had an 80 person staff. By March he was providing security for the Exotic Erotic Ball, the Black and White Ball, the Aid's Walk, Footstock and the Olympic Boxing Trials, and all the major events at Henry J. Kaiser Auditorium in Oakland, California. In 2000 Jeff Gutierrez Event Security became a Limited Liability Company and since then has serviced many of the Bay Area's premiere venues such as the Regency Center, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and the Moscone Center.
